Frisian Flag 2022 Spotters Day on 01/04/2022

Each year, the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNlAF) organizes the NATO exercise Frisian Flag. This exercise lasts for two weeks.
During that time, most participating aircraft are based at Leeuwarden Air Base. They fly two sorties per day, except on the last day.
After the corona pandemic it was good to see that Frisian Flag would again take place in 2022.
However, due to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022, it was unsure if Frisian Flag 2022 would go ahead.
Luckily, the RNlAF could find replacement for the assetts that could not come due to the situation around the war in Ukraine.
On the morning of 01/04 I could attend the Spotters Day at Leeuwarden Air Base. Because it had snowed during the night, I could photograph the aircraft in a white landscape. Truely a rare situation!
