During Frisian Flag 2019 I had the opportunity to go to Leeuwarden on two days. This was my second and last day. Sadly, the weather was quite bad with thick and low clouds.
Each year, the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNlAF) organizes the NATO exercise Frisian Flag. This exercise lasts for two weeks.
During that time, most participating aircraft are based at Leeuwarden Air Base. They fly two sorties per day, except on the last day.
